How to Self Tan Your Face
Sitting in the hot sun, day after day, with the hot rays burning into your skin, not only gives you a great tan, but leaves you open to getting skin cancer, plus wrinkles. Here is another option to looking great with a tan on your face, that won't damage your skin. Applying skin tanner is easy, and works great.
Steps:-
*Exfoliate your face and neck very well the night before. (St. Ive's Apricot Scrub does an outstanding job, because it doesn't contain oils that will prevent the self-tanner form absorbing well). After that, apply your usual moisturizer at night and get your beauty sleep!
*In the morning, shower and wash your face and neck as usual (Neutrogena Deep Clean Cream Cleanser is also a great product that will work great for applying self-tanners)
*Pat dry your face and neck and wait about 15 minutes before applying your self-tanner. Water in your pores can prevent the self-tanner from penetrating.
*Apply the self-tanner. Use small amounts and avoid the eye area. Apply as if you were applying your regular moisturizer and blending well outwards. Blend well and make sure your self-tanner is fully absorbed.
*Wash your hands right away with soap and water! You don't want to smell your hands and make them turn orange!
*Your self-tanner will start developing in 30 minutes and you will see results about 4-8 hours after application.
*Avoid touching your face and getting an uneven application.
*Practice makes perfect! A great self-tanner is L'Oreal Sublime Bronze in Light/Medium skin tones!
***Tips***
*Jergens natural glow works really good too, it doesn't make you orange at all; but it doesn't have an entirely pleasant smell.
*Avoid Neutrogena self-tanners as they are known for making you look orange and ugly! L'Oreal is definitely a great, long-lasting and cheap self-tanner! I would die without it!!!
