Technology:- Lexus Seems to Have Invented a Revolutionary Hoverboard

Lexus Seems to Have Invented a Revolutionary HoverboardLexus Seems to Have Invented a Revolutionary Hoverboard

“There is no such thing as impossible, it's just a matter of figuring out how,” claims Haruhiko Tanahashi - Lexus Chief Engineer, after displaying a teaser of how Lexus sees to transform the skateboard industry with its HoverBoard with the revolution entitled #LexusHover. There's not much information about it aside from a microsite, a promotional video, and a few photos of the thing. The marketing stunt is part of a broader art-meets-technology type of campaign currently being run by the company. The Slide site says the board creates "frictionless movement" using magnetic levitation. Inside the board you'd find magnets, it says, some of which are liquid nitrogen-cooled superconducting. Hoverboard is one such mode of transportation which attracts the attention of humans towards how the traveling is going to be revolutionized in coming years. Since Marty McFly showed off the hoverboard's potential in the Back To The Future movies, we've been patiently waiting for the real-life technology to catch up with the sci-fi vision. The hoverboard from Lexus seems to be the most authentic and realistic board at present that can hover above ground. Lexus says the board is "real" and "rideable", but with so little to go on, it's not certain just how genuine this device is. It looks a lot more polished than some of the other prototype hoverboard technology we've seen to date, but extra-strong magnets - on which most hoverboard inventions are based - are incredibly difficult to balance. Repelling magnets also need to be fitted to the floor, which rules out any adventures in a regular skate park. "Wrapped in a design that is uniquely Lexus, the hoverboard features the iconic Lexus spindle grille signature shape, using materials found in the luxury car brand, from the high tech to the natural bamboo," explains the official Lexus Slide page. As of now we only have news about the development of a hoverboard but still there is speculation of whether it can ride a person on it or not as it has not been shown in the video. Carrying a person on board is not an easy task as the magnets which help stabilizing the board in air can be destabilized on account of addition of motion and weight carried by a human on top of the board. We shall till then wait for the news from Lexus slide in coming days that will help everyone believe its authenticity.
